Announcement: 2010 Korean Studies Institution Grant 

The Strategic Initiative for Korean Studies (SIKS) in the Academy of Korean Studies (AKS) is pleased to announce the Korean Studies Institution Grant for 2010. 

SIKS and AKS warmly invite academic institutions to apply for the Korean Studies Institution Grant and pursue their interests in Korean Studies. This grant program aims to support and foster institutes that will lead the development of Korean studies in various countries around the world.  

The Korean Studies Institution Grant (KSIG) for 2010 will award 100~200 million KRW to each of the newly selected universities depending on the region of the institution. Institutions located in North America, Western Europe, Oceania and Japan are eligible to receive up to 200 million KRW in total; institutions located in other areas are eligible to receive up to 100 million KRW. The total duration of the grant period is five years (3 years + 2 years). An evaluation at the end of the first three years (Stage 1) will determine support for the final two years.
