Call for Papers 
The Worldwide Consortium of Korean Studies Centers is accepting proposals for papers by graduate students for its Sixth International Workshop on Korean Studies. The workshop, centered on the theme “Re-visioning Korean History from a Long-term and Large-scale Perspective,” will be held June 29–July 2, 2010, at the Institute of Korean Studies (Director, Young Seo Baik), Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea. 
Twelve graduate students will be chosen through open competition to present papers. Twelve additional graduate students nominated by Consortium member universities will also be selected to participate. Any graduate student specializing in Korean studies, including those enrolled in non-Consortium institutions, may apply for an invitation to the workshop. Preference will be given to students enrolled in doctoral programs. 
Graduate students from institutions outside Korea selected to take part in the workshop will be eligible for funding assistance. This assistance will cover accommodations and meals during the workshop, as well as a travel expenses up to $ 500 for participants departing from an Asian locale and up to $ 1500 for those from Europe, Australia, and North and South America. Please note that workshop participants’ accommodation schedules should closely follow the arrangements made by the host institution.
