Dear friends and colleagues,

Zed Books - a progressive UK-based publisher,
whose name will be known to many on these lists -
is seeking to commission a volume on East Asian
political thought for their series World Political Theories.

The laudable aim here is to avoid Western ethnocentrism
by focusing on a region's own traditions of political thought.
Volumes on the Middle East and Africa have already
appeared, but that on East Asia has apparently fallen through.

Anyone interested, or who would care to suggest names of
potential authors, should contact Ken Barlow at Zed:
_ken.barlow at zedbooks.net_ (mailto:ken.barlow at zedbooks.net) . It sounds an
interesting project.
Please pass this on to Sinologues and Japanistas as well.

Best wishes
Aidan FC
