This spring's semi-annual meeting of the Korean Society for Cultural Anthropology will be held on May 28-29 on the campus of Jeonbuk University. A major theme of the meeting will be "Modern Civilization and the Tristes Tropiques Among Us," commemorating the passing of centenarian Claude Levi-Strauss, noted for his contributions to the development of structural anthropology.
