For those of you in New York who are interested in South Korea's
continuation of New Korean Cinema, please visit the Museum of the Moving
Image this Sunday for a screening of *Bleak

which comes free with admission. The film gives a detailed account of the
lives of teenaged boys in Korea.  *

Dir. Yoon Sung-Hyun. 2011, 116 mins. Imported 35mm print. With Lee Je-Hoon,
Seo Jun-Yeong, Park Jung-Min, Lee Cho-Hee. In this haunting story of teen
discontent, when one member of a group of rowdy high school friends turns of
dead, his father launches an investigation into the root of the tragedy.
This impressive debut has been a hit on the international film festival
circuit.
