[KS] Question regarding student activism before the occupation of Japan

Dear KS List members,

The political activities of Korean youth during the Japanese occupation of Korea and in the movement for democracy in the south are well-documented but I'm curious, are there any instances of the involvement of youth in organized political uprisings prior to 1910?  If so, do you have any suggestions of where I might turn to learn more about them?
