Dear Korean Studies Scholars,

On behalf of the Korea Foundation<http://www.kf.or.kr/eng/06_res/res_not_view.asp?BBS_NO=3438&BASETYPE=BBS>, the Subcommittee on Korean Studies E-Resources would like to announce The Support for Korean Studies e-Resources (2012). We sincerely hope that institutions without any Korean studies librarian, in special, take full advantage of this grant program. Please share the following information with librarians at your own institution.
* Object of the Support program:

In response to the growing significance of online resources for education and research purpose, the Korea Foundation provides program support to eligible universities to offset the user/subscription fees that are required to access online Korean Studies e-Resources, for the benefit of Korea-related scholars and students. This program thus serves to complement the existing materials distribution program.

* Summary of the Support program
o Application deadline: March 12, 2012
o Notification: by the end of March, 2012
o Scope of Support: up to 50% of the user/subscription fees, but not to exceed $5,000
o Applicable e-resources: online databases, e-journals, e-books, and other online resources offered by public institutions or private parties, such as e-Korean Studies (KISS, KSI e-book, Korea A2Z, Kdatabase, Kpjournal, LawnB), Nurimedia(DBpia, KRpia), e-articles, Kyobo Scholar, New-Nonmun, newspaper archives, RISS International, etc.

Please complete the program application form and submit it to the Foundation, by email (kmbang at kf.or.kr<mailto:kmbang at kf.or.kr>) or postal mail postmarked no later than March 12, 2012.
