Fully-funded 3-year Graduate Scholarship for DPhil in Korean History or
Linguistics at the University of Oxford
Wolfson College is offering jointly with the Faculty of Oriental Studies
a fully-funded three-year graduate scholarship for a DPhil in Korean
Studies to be held at the University of Oxford from the beginning of the
academic year 2014-2015.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified graduates who are
applying for entry in October 2014, or from existing students applying
to commence a DPhil from October 2014. The Scholarship is awarded on the
basis of academic merit and potential.
The Scholarship is open to UK, EU, or Overseas students and will cover
their full costs including the University composition fee, the College
fee, and maintenance costs at the current UK Research Council rate. The
successful scholar will become a member of Wolfson College and be
offered a room in College accommodation (at the current rent) for the
first year of their course (see Wolfson Accommodation pages:
https://www.wolfson.ox.ac.uk/accommodation) and will be eligible to
apply for accommodation in subsequent years.
There is no separate application process. Applicants, whether internal
or external, should apply to the University under the standard
procedures for graduate degrees for 2014-15. If there are two or more
candidates of equal academic merit, priority will be given to the
candidate who has listed Wolfson as his or her first choice college on
the University application form. The University’s application procedures
are described on the central Postgraduate Application page
(http://www.ox.ac.uk/admissions/postgraduate_courses/apply/).
Applications should normally be made online
(http://www.ox.ac.uk/admissions/postgraduate_courses/apply/before_you_apply.html).
