  *   Salary range: depending on qualifications and experience, either:
  *   Salary range:  Level A $59,832 - $81,194 p.a.
  *   Salary range:  Level B $85,470 - $101,496 p.a.

The BA Korean Studies programme is the latest addition to the growing field of Asian Studies subjects offered at UWA. Korean language courses are offered from an introductory to advanced level, and form a key part of the new BA Korean Studies programme which will be launched in the academic year 2014.
We are looking to appoint a person with experience in teaching Korean as a second language to teach at all levels of undergraduate and postgraduate education. Other responsibilities will include coordinating Korean language courses, assisting with developing innovative teaching and learning practices in tertiary education context where appropriate and contributing to the School's research output relevant to the candidate's academic expertise. The appointee will have an outstanding teaching record and a relevant a PhD or Masters in Korean Studies, Linguistics or Applied Linguistics, Korean Language Education, Translation Studies or other related discipline.  Successful candidates will have a native or near native fluency in Korean and competency in both spoken and written English. Candidates should have experience in teaching Korean language to English-speaking students at the university level, and applicants are requested to submit a teaching portfolio as part of their application, outlining their previous experience and teaching philosophy
