Dear all,
this is an article (in Chinese) about the question whether our obscure character is sorghum or maize. The author comes to the conclusion that it should be sorghum.

Subject: [KS] Obscure Chinese character
Hello to all of you.
Has anyone come across a “Chinese (?)”
character consisting of 禾+蜀, not to be found in any Chinese or Korean dictionary in my library. From the context I know that it must mean "sorghum".One possibility coming to my mind is that it was made up on the base of Sichuan
sorghum shushu 蜀黍, Kor. choksŏ ,but
this is a mere guess.
Any help appreciated...Best,Werner
