Dear all,



According to Bernard Dupaigne's *Europe-Asie: Histoires de rencontres*,
Paris, L'Harmattan, 2007, pp.95-96, Hong Jung-u (1850-1913; Hong Jong-Ou or
Hong Tjyong-Ou in French renderings of the late 19th century)
translated *Printemps
parfumé* with J.H Rosny, who is *Joseph-Henri Rosny* (1856-1940), called
"Rosny l'aîné" (Rosny the elder), the author of *La guerre du Feu* (The
Quest for Fire) and the first Goncourt prize-winner -with his brother
Séraphin Justin, called "Rosny le Jeune".
