[KS] Korea Foundation postdoctoral fellowship (2014-15)

Dear all,

The University of Pennsylvania's James Joo-Jin Kim Program in Korean 
Studies <http://www.sas.upenn.edu/koreanstudies/> welcomes affiliation 
requests from those applying for 2014-15 Korea Foundation postdoctoral 
fellowship

Application process is as follows:

(1) Before submitting a complete application package to the Korea 
Foundation, please email Penn Kim Program's Ms. Melissa DiFrancesco 
<meljen at sas.upenn.edu>, by *January 10, 2014* , one (1) PDF file 
including the following from the KF application package:
     - a cover letter (this will be the "request");
     - a completed KF application form;
     - a c.v.;
     - 3 letters of reference (including one from the academic adviser); and
     - a research proposal;

(2) Upon receiving the request, the Kim Program will review it along 
with all others before notifying every requester of our decision by the 
KF application deadline of *January 31, 2014* (by which the requesters 
will also have to submitted their application packages to the 
foundation). We will be notifying the foundation and the requesters of 
our decision by that date. When submitting the application package to 
the foundation, the requester will have to attach a copy of the request 
(i.e. the cover letter sent to the Kim Program).

(3) As soon as KF announces its decision by May 2014, the Kim program 
would like the requester to let us know whether or not (s)he will be 
coming to Penn after all.

The Kim Program will provide the Korea Foundation postdoctoral fellow 
with shared office space, library access, and the necessary practical 
and administrative assistance. The fellow will be required to:
     -prepare publications as expected by tenure-track academic 
positions in the fellow's discipline;
     -participation in academic activities of the Kim Program; and
     -teach a course (optional);
