한국학중앙연구원(AKS)은 2014년 11월 5일(수)부터 
7일(금)까지 ‘한국학, 세계와 공유하는 인문정신’ 라는 주제로 제 7회 
세계한국학대회를 미국 하와이 주립대학에서 개최할 예정입니다. 논문 발표를 위한 초록을 공모하오니 한국학을 연구하는 국내외 학자, 전문가, 학생 
여러분들의 적극적인 참여를 부탁 드립니다.

1. 대회개요

논문초록공모

1) 패널지원(Organized Panel)-    패널을 구성하여 지원(사회, 발표, 토론)
-    90분에 맞춰 발표 및 토론을 구성하도록 함.
※ 숙박지원은 발표자만 해당됨.-    패널대표가 해당 서류를 제출함.
-    제출서류: 패널 계획 및 요약이 포함된 패널구성안(1페이지 
이내), 패널 구성원 이력서(1인당 1페이지), 발표자 초록(1인당 1페이지)
 2) 개인지원(Individual Paper Proposal)
-    조직위에서 패널을 구성함
-    각 패널당 3명의 발표자 1명의 사회자로 구성되며 발표 및 토론시간은 1인당 
30분임. 발표자에게는 해당 패널의 사회자 또는 토론자 역할이 주어질 수 있음.
-    제출서류: 초록(A4 1페이지), 이력서(1페이지)* 초록 및 이력서는 
A4 1페이지를 초과하지 않도록 
함(글자크기: 12포인트)

* 세계한국학대회 홈페이지(http://congress.aks.ac.kr)에 가입 후 초록 접수를 클릭하여 해당서류를 제출함(서류는 MS word 파일만 
접수 가능)
* 홈페이지를 통한 초록접수는 2014년 3월 
10일(월)부터 5월 9일(금)까지 가능하며, 초록 접수 후 3일 이내에 확인 e-mail을 전송함. * 참석여부에 대한 심사 
결과는 2014년 7월 중 e-mail을 통해 개별 통보할 예정이며, 참석자 등록은 홈페이지를 통해 2014년 7월 31일(목)까지 접수 예정. 논문은 2014년 9월 30일까지 제출.

조직위원회는 각 패널 및 개인 발표를 11월 6일(목) - 11월 7일(금)에 배정할 예정이며 한번 배정된 시간은 변경 
불가함.

차세대한국학자논문상

한국학의 차세대 학자 발굴을 위해 분야별 우수논문을 선정하여 시상함
-    지원자격: 석사학위 혹은 박사학위 과정생 지원가능
-    포상: 한국학중앙연구원장상 1편(US$ 1,000), 우수상 2편(US$ 
600)
-    신청방법: 홈페이지 초록접수 시 지원양식에서 ‘차세대한국학자논문상 지원여부’ 
YES로 표시하여 접수
8. 중요마감일
-   초록접수 마감: 2014년 5월 9일(금)
-   결과 통보: 7월 중
-   참가 등록 마감일: 7월 31일(목)
-    논문접수 마감: 2014년 9월 30일(화)

-   세계한국학대회는 논문집을 제공하지 않습니다. 
-   논문 파일은 USB에 담아 배포하며 On-Line으로

We are pleased to announce the 7th World Congress 
of Korean Studies will be held at University of Hawai’i at Manoa campus in the 
beautiful tropical environs from November 5th to 7th, 2014. The conference 
theme, "Korean Studies, a New Perspective toward Global Humanities" is designed 
to invite scholars and experts presenting recent researches and exchanging 
academic information as well as building friendships among Koreanists. Those who 
wish to participate are most welcome to submit abstracts on the widest variety 
of topics that correspond to areas of interest.

Panel
Panel applicant is required to submit 1) Entire panel proposal 1 page, 
2) Each Individual CV less than 1 Page, 3) Each Individual abstract less than 1 
page.
※   We are 
responsible exclusively for presenters' lodgings and meals during the conference 
period. If you participate as moderator or commentator without presentation, we 
are not responsible for your lodging and meals.-Individual 
Paper ProposalIndividual applicant is require to submit an abstract and CV 
electronically. Once admitted, we organize the panel in which three individual 
speakers can make presentations. A person may serve multiple roles like 
moderator, presenter and discussants in the panel. The individual abstract 
cannot exceed 1 page (A4 size, 12 point) in English or Korean
* Please sign up, complete application form and attach CV and 
abstract (MS word file only) at the congress homepage 
(http://congress.aks.ac.kr) from March 10 to May 9, 
2014.   
** Congress homepage will be accessible starting Monday, 
March 10, 2014.
*** Once submitting abstract, you will receive an e-mail 
confirmation within 3 working days. The abstracts will be peer-reviewed. We will 
notify accepted individuals directly in July, 2014. Deadline of 
registration will be 31 July, 2014. Submission of the full 
paper (10-15 pages) is by Sep. 30, 2014.

fee is US$100. Graduate student fee is US$50. 
Accommodation and Meals

Full meal coverage (Nov. 5 Dinner ~ 8 Breakfast) and 3 nights 
lodging (Nov. 5-8, 2 person in one room) will be provided for the participants 
outside Hawaii. The extra charges will be charged if you require a single room. 
The hotel reservation will be available during participation registration on 
Congress website.

Korean Studies Junior Scholar Paper 
Prize
We encourage graduate students to apply for the Junior Scholar 
Paper Prize. For this, please tick in ‘KOREAN STUDIES JUNIOR SCHOLAR PAPER PRIZE 
APPLICANT’ in the application form. The committee will review submitted papers 
and decide the three awardees.
Notes
-Digital files 
of proceedings restored in a USB flash memory will be given to registered 
participants. Abstracts and papers will also be available at the website 
congress.aks.ac.kr. We do not provide hard-copy proceeding. We cordially ask 
speakers to bring their hard-copy if necessary. 
Further details will be provided to those whose 
abstracts are accepted to the conference.
