Call for Papers4th Conference onKorean Screen CultureDepartment of Cross-Cultural and RegionalStudies (ToRS)University of Copenhagen, Copenhagen, DenmarkMay 29th – 30th2015  Following successfulconferences on Korean Screen Culture held at SOAS, the University of London(2012 & 2013), Sheffield Hallam University (2014), the Korean Studies unitat the Department of Cross-Cultural and Regional Studies (ToRS), University ofCopenhagen is pleased to announce the 4th Korean Screen CultureConference to be hosted by the Department of Cross-Cultural and RegionalStudies in collaboration with the Korea Foundation. The conference aimsto examine critically some of the most important issues affecting Korean screenculture today; particularly cinema, television and music videos. We welcomeproposals for papers and panels on all aspects of Korean screen culture, Southand North Korean cinema past and present, video games, production, distribution& reception of film, television, K-pop music videos, also the transnationaland transmedia aspects in Korean screen culture such as the impacts of theKorean Wave (Hallyu), transnational adaptations, co-productions,collaborations, and various transmedia practices.Paperson other forms of Korean screen culture will also be considered.  Proposals (forindividual papers as well as panel proposals) should include the name,institutional affiliation, the title of the paper, an abstract of 400 words,and a 50-100 word biography of the author, please send a WORD file, NO PDFsplease. Please send proposals by February 28th 2015 to Andrew DavidJackson at krm769 at hum.ku.dk. Allapplicants will receive email confirmation of the receipt of their abstract within a week of submission.
