Seoul Book and Culture Club 
Saturday 7th November 4:00pm to 6:00pm there will be a meeting with novelist Han Kang. She is the multi-award winning, sometimes controversial author of the highly acclaimed novel ‘The Vegetarian’ and the short story ‘Convalescence.’ https://www.facebook.com/events/848529808549429/

Seoul Book and Culture Club 
Saturday, 31st October 4:00pm to 6:00pm there will be a meeting with Kang Chol-hwan, author of ‘The Aquariums of Pyongyang.’ Kang is a defector from North Korea. He worked as a staff writer specializing in North Korean affairs for the The Chosun Ilbo, and is now the president of the North Korea Strategy Center (NKSC). This event will be in English and Korean. Admission: KW 5,000.

The RAS Cinema Club with the Seoul Film Society
These are free showings of great Korean movies, with an introduction and free-wheeling discussion after in Haechi Hall, Seoul Global Cultural Center on the 5th floor, Mplaza, Myeongdong, Seoul.

RAS Colloquium in Korean Studies
An informal gathering is organized on the 3rd Saturday of each month for the presentation and discussion of research by people engaged in Korean Studies at a serious level. Contact Brother Anthony (ansonjae at sogang.ac.kr) for more information.

Our office also houses our Library and serves as a bookstore, with many rare and interesting titles about Korea available, with a discount for RAS members. Please phone before visiting, to be sure there will be someone there.
