You refer to Mun Il-p'yŏng 文一平 (1888~1939) ... relatively well known 
for that below book, which seems to have just now been republished.
  文一平, _韓美關係五十年史_ (조광사, 1945)
That had originally appeared as an essay series in the _Chosŏn ilbo_, 
07/15/1934 to 12/18/1934. Today this only has "historic" value as a 
text ... there are many far better and more detailed and less biassed 
works on the topic. (The book, by the way, if I recall that correctly, 
is handwritten.)

You are not very specific with your request (of what you want to know), 
so I don't know what you want else to say. But he is often mentioned in 
other works on the topic. 

Here is his short bio from the 2008 han'gŭl version (by Dr. Yi Han-su) 
of his texts, published as: _문일평 1934년: 식민지 시대 한 지식인 의 일
기_ (P'aju-si: 살림, 2008):

호암(湖巖) 문일평(文一平, 1888~1939)은 평북 의주 출생으로, 한국 근대기
의 대표적 사학자이다. 1910년 일본 메이지학원(明治學院) 중등부를 졸업했고
, 1912년 와세다대학에서 정치학을, 1925년 동경제국대학에서 동양사학을 잠
시 공부하면서 역사와 정치에 눈뜨기 시작했다. 1912년말 중국 상해로 건너
가 동제사(同濟社)에 가담하고, 1919년 삼일운동 때 자신이 작성한 「독립선
언서」를 낭독하는 등 독립운동에 적극 참여했다. 이후 한국사에 대한 글을 
발표하기 시작했고, 신간회(新幹會)와 조선물산장려회(朝鮮物産奬勵會) 등의 
발기인이나 임원으로서 정치에 참여했다.
1920년대 후반부터 역사학의 대중화에 집중했으며, 1933년 조선일보사의 편집
고문으로 취임하여 수많은 사화와 사론을 지속적으로 발표했다. 호암전집(전3
권, 1939) 호암사화집(湖岩史話集)(1939) 소년역사독본(少年歷史讀本)(1940) 
한미오십년사(韓美五十年史)(1945) 등이 그의 사후에 발간되었다.

And I just see there is even one more new book publication (_한 눈에 들
어오는 역사상식 - 호암 문일평의 사화백제_).
So, in any case, there seems now plenty of information out there on him.
