The University of San Francisco Center for Asia Pacific Studies is pleased
to announce its fall 2016 conference, *“Constructing Masculinities in
Asia.”*

With this conference, the Center plans to provide a forum for
interdisciplinary discussion and the sharing of the latest research in the
social sciences and humanities on issues related to the construction of
masculinities in Greater China, Japan, Korea, and India. Leading scholars
from the U.S., Europe, East and South Asia will gather at USF to examine
how masculinity is defined and/or constructed in Asia and how these
masculinities and/or expressions of manhood have changed over time.​
