Scholarships for Undergraduates and Post-graduates Studying Korea

The British Association for Korean Studies administers two sets of 
bursaries for undergraduate and postgraduate students. The deadline for 
both schemes this year is 3 April 2017.

1) British-Korean Society Post-Graduate Bursary

Deadline is 3 April 2017.

The British-Korean Society, through the Bursary Committee of the British 
Association of Korean Studies, is offering _four_ £1000 bursaries on a 
competitive basis to post-graduate students at UK higher education 
institutions, regardless of nationality.

2) The British Korean Veterans Association / Samsung Undergraduate Study 
Year Abroad Bursary

Deadline is 3 April 2017.

The British Korean Veterans Association through the Bursary Committee of 
the British Association for Korean Studies is offering _five_ £2000 
bursaries to undergraduate students with UK nationality on programmes of 
full-time academic study in which the study of the Korean language is an 
integral part of the programme, and which requires the student to spend 
a full academic session or part-session in Korea receiving intensive 
language tuition for the period of stay in Korea. The bursaries are 
offered as a memorial to the service and sacrifice of British soldiers 
in the Korean War. Preference will be shown to descendants of British 
soldiers who fought in the Korean War.
