Second and Final Call

Call for Papers for the European Journal of Korean Studies Vol 18(1) and (2)

After sixteen volumes and twenty-seven years, The Papers of the British Association for Korean Studies has become the European Journal of Korean Studies. Since 1991, The Papers of The British Association for Korean Studies has been a repository for the most rigorous and interesting academic output focused on the Korean Peninsula in the United Kingdom. The European Journal of Korean Studies carries on this scholarly mission across the continent, facilitating the publication in English of peer reviewed academic work in all disciplines on matters Korean. The European Journal of Korean Studies aims to be the leading peer reviewed, citation indexed outlet for academic output in Europe in the English language. It will provide European and global scholars of Korea a publication venue that we know has been much in demand, long called for, and eagerly anticipated.

We have recently published Vol 17 (1) and are about to publish Vol 17 (2) of the European Journal of Korean Studies. We would like to issue a call for papers for Vol 18 (1) and (2), which will appear in the autumn of 2018 and the spring of 2019. We welcome research articles and book reviews for both of these volumes from scholars across Eastern and Western Europe, Australasia, Korea, and the globe. We welcome research and writing from any academic discipline as it relates to matters Korean. Research articles must be in the English language and no longer than 12,000 words.
The journal now has an ISSN number and with an application in process hopes to have past and future issues indexed by the SSCI and other citation indexes providing further incentives to consider the European Journal of Korean Studies as the destination for your output. Please consult our manuscript submission guidelines before submitting your work: http://www.baks.org.uk/wptest/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/European-Journal-of-Korean-Studies-Submission-guidelines-revised-30-Jan-2017.pdf . Read more about the European Journal of Korean Studies and its predecessor The Papers of the British Association of Korean Studies at: http://www.baks.org.uk/wptest/bakspapers/.

The deadline for submission to Volume 18, No. 1 (autumn 2018) is 15 May 2018. Contributions received by 15 October 2018 will be considered for Volume 18, No. 2 (spring 2019).
