Please let me invite you to the Second Global History Workshop which will be held in the Ahn Junggeun Memorial Museum and Sungkyunkwan University in Seoul, Korea.
The Second Global History Workshop:
The Emergence of Modern Nations and the Desire for Peace in Asia
This English-language workshop will examine Ahn Junggeun’s (1879–1910) desire for peace in East Asia, which ran counter to the ideological conflicts among modern nations in the early twentieth century, in order to promote mutual friendship and trust and to form networks among students majoring in East Asian Studies.
Date: August 12 to August 13, 2018

Special Lecturers: Dr. Franklin Rausch (Lander University, USA)

Sungkyunkwan was established in 1398 as the national Confucian university. During lunch, there will be an on-campus tour that will visit Myŏngryundang, which is where the students studied, and Taesŏngjŏn, where the ceremonies were held.
This workshop is hosted by The Great Ahn Junggeun Society and the Ahn Junggeun Memorial Museum and sponsored by the Northeast Asian History Foundation.
