*Asian Survey Call for Editor Applications*

University of California Press and the Institute of East Asian Studies at
the University of California, Berkeley (IEAS) are seeking to hire an Editor
for the journal *Asian Survey*. Published at Berkeley since 1961, *Asian
Survey* is a bimonthly, peer-reviewed social science journal with an
emphasis on the domestic politics/society and international relations of
East, Southeast, and South Asia.

The position, set to begin in Summer 2019, is supported by a stipend and a
full-time Managing Editor at IEAS.

*Asian Survey*, committed to publishing empirically based, theoretically
grounded original research, covers a crucial region along an arc from
Mongolia, North Korea, and China to Indonesia to India, Pakistan, and
Afghanistan. The journal offers scholars, policy specialists, the media,
and the public thoughtful, qualitative scholarship on a wide range of
contemporary issues.

For the Editor's position, journal editorial experience is preferred but
not required. Applicants should have a distinguished scholarly record in
political/social science, international relations, and Asian Studies.
