Commensurate with career stage, applicants should demonstrate excellence and productivity in research and a commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching.
Principal duties:
Successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the teaching, research, and service missions of the Department of Sociology and the Department of Asian Languages & Cultures. Teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels required as well as mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students. Candidate will be expected to engage in scholarly research in the sociology of contemporary Korea leading to scholarly publication at the national and international levels. University and professional service required as appropriate.

Faculty positions include a commitment to the important function of research, instruction, and outreach, as well as professional and university service as appropriate to faculty rank.
