Working Title: Korean Flagship Program Coordinator
Official Title: ADMIN PROGRAM SPEC(R07DN) or ASSOC ADMIN PRGM SPEC(R07FN)
Degree and area of specialization:
BA required in foreign language, linguistics, or international area studies. MA preferred. Korean language study and study abroad experience in South Korea strongly preferred.
  
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Minimum of 1 year of experience working in an administrative capacity. Experience working in U.S. higher education preferred. Excellent organizational and office skills. Computer proficiency, experience working with databases and spreadsheets. Demonstrated communication and writing skills. Proficiency in Korean preferred.
 
Principal duties:
60% Administration
-Oversee the daily management of the Korean Flagship Program to maintain compliance with terms of federal award and to provide administrative support to the program's faculty, staff and students.
-Oversee and manage student record management. 
-Manage student scholarship awards.
-Manage the program budget.
-Develop external grant proposals and write grant reports.
-Assist with coordination of co-curricular activities and other student academic and cultural programming.
-Provide logistical support for Korean Flagship tutoring.
-Develop and sustain partnerships with other campus units to further program's academic goals.
-Other administrative tasks, as needed

20% Communications
Design, develop and implement strategies to publicize the program at national, regional, state and campus levels, and to communicate with all program stakeholders, faculty, staff, tutors, and students.
-Develop and implement strategies to create, author, and disseminate vibrant print, web, and social media (includes authoring content that draws on expertise in Korean, foreign language education and/or international studies). 
-Write media releases and design marketing and communications materials to promote the program. 
-Develop collaborative partnerships with local and national communication outlets to disseminate program information.
-Represent academic goals and program learning outcomes in all communications with university and other audiences. 
-Oversee and manage communications with current students about program policies.

20% Recruitment and Admissions
-Develop and implement strategies for national, regional, and campus recruitment efforts.
-Develop and give presentations about the program.
-Represent the academic goals of the program at conferences and resource fairs.
-Coordinate admissions and conduct preliminary evaluation of academic credentials and fit with program goals.
 
Requirements:
A criminal background check will be conducted prior to hiring.
A period of evaluation will be required
