Dear Professor Caprio,
I have attached a pamphlet released by the ROK-based National Institute for
the Korean language in 2017. It does a wonderful job of explaining all of
the common differences between north and south language that you'll come
across in an easy to read format. Of course, this is a modern pamphlet and
you are studying text from the 1940s, but I believe that many of the
north-south differences can still be found even in texts from the early
days of the DPRK regime.
Furthermore, here is a link to databases with information on differences
between more specific technical terms. This information comes from the
North Korean Resource Centre, a subsidiary of the Ministry of Unification.

Hope this is helpful!
Sincerely,
