Dear all,

We are pleased to announce that the spring issue of the
Journal of Korean Religions is now available online https://muse.jhu.edu/issue/42447. This volume, guest edited
by A. Charles Muller, focuses on Yogācāra Studies of Silla, and contains
contributions from Shigeki Moro, Sumi Lee, Jiyun Kim, and Ronald S. Green. Additionally,
this volume includes independent research articles by Seungyop Shin on Chŏng Kam nok in Colonial Korea
and Jeongeun Park on monk clerical marriage in Colonial Korea. Finally, this
issue has reviews of “The Korean Buddhist Empire: A Transnational History (1910-1945)”
by Hwansoo Inmee Kim, “From the Mountains to the City: A History of Buddhist
Propagation in Modern Korea” by Mark Nathan and “Oneness: East Asian
Conceptions of Virtue, Happiness, and How We Are All Connected, by Philip J.
Invanhoe.

The Journal of Korean Religions is the
only English-language academic journal dedicated to the study of Korean
religions. The publication aims to stimulate interest in and research on Korean
religions across a range of disciplines in the humanities and social sciences.
Launched in 2010 by the Institute for the Study of Religion at Sogang
University in Korea, the journal is peer-reviewed and published twice yearly,
in April and October.

Prospective manuscripts can be sent to the managing editor,
Dr. Brendan Wright, at <a href="mailto:journalkr at sogang.ac.kr">journalkr at sogang.ac.kr.
Contributions on special thematic topics are particularly welcome.
