The Korean Studies Centre at The University of Queensland (UQ), Australia, warmly invites applications to present at the 2022 international postgraduate conference. The deadline has now been extended to 3 August:

The Korean Studies Centre's international postgraduate conference will feature sessions on Korea-related topics approached through a wide range of disciplines –history, culture, media, literature, sociology, politics, religion, education, linguistics, and psychology. Postgraduate students (PhD or MA by research) based in Australia or overseas, conducting research related to Korea are encouraged to apply to present. Airfares and accommodation will be provided for postgraduate students attending from interstate and/or New Zealand.



Keynote speakers include Professor Soojin Lee (Daegu National University of Education, South Korea), renowned scholar in Korean language textbooks and curriculum development, and Dr Changzoo Song (The University of Auckland, New Zealand), international expert in Korean diasporas and the dynamics of nationalism and multiculturalism in Korea.



The 2-day interdisciplinary conference presents an exciting opportunity for postgraduate students to present their research, make connections, gain feedback on their work, and – for those attending in person – visit the University of Queensland and experience Brisbane city!



How to apply:

Please upload your abstract (200-300 words) for a 20min presentation via this application form<https://forms.gle/ByuNF7TzBs1YPfXw6> by 3 August 2022. Participants may only submit one proposal. If your abstract is accepted, please note you must submit a full paper (4,000-6,000 words) by 30 September. A registration fee of $30AUD will also be required.
