[KS] Translation and Consultation Network (Choson History Society)

The Choson History Society is a public learned society fostering the study, research, and teaching of Korea’s past by connecting scholars working both outside and inside the professional academy. Since its launching in 2021, the Choson History Society (CHS) has been hosting a series of public talks with the goal of building a public resource. We are disciplinary-wise and period-wise open to scholars whose research and interest intersect with Korea.

In addition to the existing programs, the Choson History Society newly launched Translation and Consultation Network.

Translation and Consultation Network aims to help Korean Studies scholars find fruitful, collaborative relationships. It connects scholars to on-going projects and helps them find research, translation, or editorial services.

The CHS is encouraging experts in Korean studies who are interested in providing editorial, translation, or academic consultation services. If you are interested, please submit your profiles to the Chosŏn History Society. To post your profile on the website, you will be required to sign a User Agreement and Academic Conduct Agreement. The CHS will list their profile on the website, specifying their areas of expertise and services. 

The CHS will NOT be responsible for setting the rates/prices of specific services, leaving such conversation to the interested parties.

조선사연구회(CHS)는 다양한 한국학 관련 연구자들을 학계/비학계의 경계 너머로 활동하는 공공 학술 네트워크를 만들어 가고 있습니다. 2021년을 시작으로 전세계의 한국학 연구자들의 최신 성과를 소개하고 제언과 학문적 성과를 자유롭게 나누는 Zoom Meeting 발표회의 형식으로 진행해 왔습니다. 

최근 조선사학회 (CHS)가 번역 및 상담 네트워크 페이지를 새로 개설하였고, 이에 간단한 소개의 말씀을 드리고자 합니다.

CHS는 번역 및 상담 네트워크는 대학 안팎의 한국학 연구자들이 상생의 학술공간 네트워크를 만들 갈 수 있도록 돕습니다. 연구자들은 현재 진행 중인 본인의 프로젝트와 연결된 연구, 번역 또는 편집 서비스를 제공 받을 수 있고, 번역가 및 학술 연구 전문가들은 자신이 제공한 서비스와 기여도에 맞는 보수를 기대할 수 있습니다.

CHS 번역 및 상담 페이지는 참여자들에 의해 운영되는 시스템 입니다. 그래서 우리는 한국학 분야에 대한 전문성과 경험을 지니고 있으며,  본인의 편집, 번역, 학술 상담 서비스를 다른 한국학 연구자들에게 제공하는데 관심이 있는 분들께서 자유롭게 참여하실 수 있습니다. 서비스 제공자로 등록하시기 위해서는 웹사이트에 명시된 이용약관과 학술 서비스 제공 약관에 동의하고 서명해야 합니다. 동의하신 후에 가입 양식을 통해 자신의 전문 분야와 서비스를 명시한 프로필을 작성하실 수 있습니다. 해당 프로필은 서비스 사용자들이 자신에게 맞는 서비스를 검색하는데 활용될 것입니다. 

CHS는 특정 서비스의 요금/가격을 설정할 책임이 없으며, 세부적인 계약 조건은 서비스 사용자와 제공자가 상의 후 결정할 것을 원칙으로 합니다.
