Dear KS list members, please note the following new project by Monash
Korean Studies. Thank you!
Dear Koreanists,
The Online Hanmun- English Dictionary is a project jointly organized by an
editorial committee consisting of Andy Jackson (Monash University Korean
Studies Research Hub), Daniel Pieper (MUKSRH), Felix Siegmund (Ruhr
University, Bochum) and Sandy Nguyen (MUKSRH). Over the past year, we have
been collecting and organizing Hanmun materials in an online format that
will serve as a tool for students who research Korean materials written in
Hanmun. We have established a provisional website, and we plan to expand
the dictionary by adding more entries over the next three-four years. We
invite Koreanists to share their knowledge and experience and contribute
entries to help develop the dictionary. We hope that this online resource
will serve as a useful tool and encourage students to pursue research on
materials written in Hanmun.
