The scholarship is open to applicants from British Black, Asian and other minoritised groups who are eligible for the Home rate of tuition fees (currently 4,712 GBP in 2023/24 but subject to change in future years). One award is available each year for applicants who have been offered a PhD place in the School of Music. The award covers the cost of tuition fees for full-time or part-time study,
