Dear KS List members,

We are pleased to invite scholars, translators, and researchers to
contribute to* Acta Koreana*, an A&HCI-indexed journal dedicated to
advancing Korean studies. Since its founding in 1998, the journal has
provided a vibrant forum for rigorous, original, and innovative scholarship
that deepens our understanding of Korea.

*Acta Koreana* is now accepting submissions for the June 2026 issue and
beyond. We publish original research in the humanities broadly understood,
including—but not limited to—literature, history, religion, philosophy, art
history, and adjacent fields. We also welcome translations of poetry,
prose, and documents; prolegomena (haeje) to primary source materials; as
well as methodological and theoretical reflections on Korean humanities
research. While submissions on all time periods are welcome, we especially
encourage manuscripts concerning pre-colonial topics.

We look forward to receiving work that pushes the boundaries of existing
scholarship, sparks new conversations, and engages with Korea’s past and
present in meaningful ways.

For inquiries, please contact acta at kmu.ac.kr.

Best regards,
The Editorial Committee
*Acta Koreana*
