Greetings, Korean Studies community!

In anticipation of the 2026 volume, the editing team at *Korean Studies
<https://muse.jhu.edu/journal/109>* would like to share some exciting news.

   - *Korean Studies *(Scopus indexed) is very thrilled to be publishing its
*50th volume in 2026*. Five decades of continuous publication of top
research in the field is the result of enormous dedication of many people.
We will share the celebrations of V50 in the coming months.

   - From 2026, *Korean Studies* is going *two issues per year: a regular
issue in the spring and a special issue in the fall*. Our *V50 special
issue*, coming out in Fall 2026, will be on *poetry, guest-edited by
David Krolikoski* (University of Hawaii at Manoa).

   - *Do you have an idea for a special issue?* We're all ears! Drop us a
   note: kseditor at hawaii.edu

   - With V50, we will showcase a new cover design. By the way, our name
now has a subtitle--*Korean Studies: Global Research and Critique*.

   - Our 2023 special volume 47*--"Digital Korean Studies
   <https://muse.jhu.edu/issue/51719>**," **guest-edited by Javier Cha**--**is
free to download.* This important volume speaks to the new (and old)
frontiers of digital humanities in our field. It has seen over 16,000
   downloads so far!

Thank you. We hope to make *Korean Studies *even more useful going forward.
