Dear colleagues,

We are writing from the Office of Education Support at the Literature
Translation Institute of Korea (LTI Korea), a public institution under the
Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Korea dedicated to promoting
Korean literature abroad through translation support, education, and
international exchange.

We would like to share that the application deadline for the *2026 Korean
Literature Translators Career Pathways Program* has been extended to 10 May
2026, and we kindly ask for your support in spreading the word —
particularly to translators who may not yet have heard of this opportunity.

We are especially hoping to reach more applicants for the following tracks:

  · *Emerging/Early-career Translator Track (French, and German)*:
Translators with 1–2 published translations, 1–5 journal publications, or a
translation award
  · *Mid-Career Translator Track (English, French, and German)*:
Translators with 3–4 published translations

The program runs 31 August–11 September 2026 in Seoul, and offers
translation workshops, peer review seminars, meetings with Korean authors,
career mentoring, pitching sessions with overseas publishers, and more.
Airfare, accommodation, and meals are provided for eligible participants.

이번 프로그램은 단순한 연수가 아니라, 번역가들이 동시대의 작업 고민을 나누고, 출판 현장과의 접점을 넓히며, 각자의 경력 단계에 맞는
다음 방향을 함께 모색할 수 있도록 설계되었습니다. 번역 워크숍, 작가와의 만남, 해외 출판사 피칭, 진로 멘토링 등 다양한 세션으로
구성되며, 해당 참가자에게는 항공료·숙박비·식비를 지원합니다.
