Senior Lectureship in Korean Studies

The School of Oriental and African Studies invites applications for a
senior position in Korean Studies from 1 September 1999.  Open to all
disciplines, but a specialisation in history or literature may be an
advantage.  Demonstrated excellence in scholarship, relevant teaching
experience and a PhD are essential.  Duties include research and
teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels as well as
supervision of PhD students.

The appointment will be made on the Senior Lecturer Scale (stlg29,968 -
stlg33,866 p.a.), depending on qualifications and experience, plus a
London Allowance, currently stlg2,134 p.a.  Membership of USS is
available.
