Dear Mr. Miller,

Hi, my name is So inhwa. I am a researcher of the
National Center for Korean Traditional Performing
Arts. We have the Museum of Korean Traditional Music
with a room for world instruments. There are some
Indonesian instruments like suling, gender ponggal,
rebab. One more is those small brass things looking
like bonang. But, on the name card it is named
¹Ù¶û¹Ù·ç(barang baru), which I have never heard of and
I am not sure of its nationality.

We will have the 5th International Conference on
Aisan Music on 20-21 of September this year.
It is about Asian farming songs. Professor Anderson
Sutton will read a paper about Indonesian folk songs
there. I'll post this conference schedule in detail
later.

I hope this little information help you with your
knowlege of what's going on in Korea with regard to
Indonesian music. Thank you.

So Inhwa
Researcher, the National Center for Korean Traditional
Performing Arts
