Actually I am surprised a discussion like this comes up, I thought it was a 
known fact that coverage of the Olympics was biased in every country. I 
don't like sports (at all) but I can't get around with being washed by it 
if something special like the Olympics etc is going on. I just remember 
that everyone was complaining that with the games in L.A. the coverage of 
the American t.v. was so biased and that the foreign stations had so little 
chance to make their own coverage.

In Holland at least the coverage is also predominantly Dutch, so again, I 
am surprised that the subject even came up, the more since I hate the fact 
that I can't get around it. When, in Holland, one or the other important 
soccer competition came up, my first response was: "I hope we loose." After 
the shocked comments died out, I would say: "At least you stop talking 
about it." ;-)
