Dear Colleagues,

For the publishers that read this listserve, I took some books home this
summer. My home, for those who may not know, is in Tokyo. Several books
published by North American presses have grown mold. The books published
by companies in South Korea and Japan, on the other hand, have not. I
should add, though, that some books published by the South Korean
government also have grown mold.

In other news from Japan, Ned Shultz, John Duncan, and others will be sad
to learn that the high school baseball team whose jerseys bear the name
"Koryo" lost in the high school baseball championship game.
