Here's a heads up for all of our list readers who are in or near Seoul. In
commemoration of the 1st Kyujanggak Korean Studies International
Summer Workshop sponsored by the Kyujanggak Institute for Korean
Studies, a Korean Traditional Dance workshop will be held in the
lobby of the Kyujanggak Institute on Friday, June 29th, 2007.

This workshop presents a special and delightful opportunity for
appreciating Korean traditional dance. Prof. Young-hae Han, a
sociologist teaching at the Graduate School of International
Studies, SNU, and also a very accomplished dancer in her own right,
will first be offering a performance and then leading a workshop teaching
participants how to enjoy Korean traditional dance through
instruction in its essential concepts and basic dance moves.
Accompanying Prof. Han will be In-ho Chung, a Korean Classical
Music major, and Hyo-jin Kang, a Korean fiddle player at the Ansan
Municipal Orchestra of Korean Traditional Music.

In addition, a special reception with Korean traditional teas and
cakes will be held at 7pm before the workshop begins.
