For all of our list readers who are in or near Seoul. In commemoration of the 1st Kyujanggak Korean Studies International Summer Workshop offered by the Kyujanggak Institute for Korean Studies (KIKS) of Seoul National University, a Korean Traditional Dance performance/workshop will be held in the lobby of the Kyujanggak on Friday, June 29th, 2007.

This workshop presents a special and delightful opportunity for appreciating Korean dance. Prof. Young-hae Han, a sociologist teaching at the Graduate School of International Studies, SNU, and also a very accomplished dancer in her own right will be offering a performance, and then lead a brief workshop teaching participants how to enjoy Korean dance, through instruction in its key terminologies and basic dance moves at the workshop. Hyo-jin Kang, a Korean fiddler player will be appearing as a guest star.

In addition, a special reception with various Korean traditional teas and cakes will be held at 6:30 PM, before the workshop begin at 7:00 PM. If you have any questions, please email our administrative assistant Ms. Kim Okhyun at kiks at snu.ac.kr, or call at 880-9378.
