Academia Koreana Fellowship Program Announcement
   
  Academia Koreana, the Korean studies research institute of Keimyung University, in conjunction with its semi-annual, international Korean studies journal Acta Koreana, announces a new fellowship program starting on March 1, 2008. The appointment is initially for ten months but can be extended on review. Candidates should have received at least an MA degree in the field of Korean studies, have an excellent command of academic English and Korean, be able to demonstrate a genuine research interest in the field of Korean studies and preferably have experience in academic editing. The successful candidate will be expected to make an enthusiastic and positive contribution to the research activities of Academia Koreana and also take on the duties of the managing editor of the journal Acta Koreana, which is published in January and July each year. In addition the fellow will be required to teach one course per semester in Keimyung University's international Korean studies
 program. The fellowship will provide a stipend in the region of $3,300.00 per month, including basic insurances, a one-time round-trip airfare, and an apartment on campus.
   
  Submission of all materials electronically as PDF files is preferred. Review of applications will begin on January 28, 2008 and will continue until the position is filled. Interested candidates should submit their letter of application, CV, writing sample (article or dissertation chapter), copies of all degree certificates, transcripts and two letters of recommendation as e-mail attachments to the search committee at acta at kmu.ac.kr or by mail to the address below.
