Dear all,
As long-time list members will have noticed,
Korean Studies Review has been primarily
conspicuous by its absence over the last year. A
host of other commitments have kept me away from
editorial duties, and the situation is likely to
continue for the foreseeable future. I have
decided, therefore, that rather than leave KSR in
this semi-moribund state, it's time, after a
decade, to hand on the editorial reins. I'm
pleased to announce that KSR will be in capable
hands, as Robert Fouser of Seoul National
University (fouser at snu.ac.kr) will take over as
editor. He'll be working with reviewers from now
on, sending out reviews and overseeing the KSR
website. Eventually KSR will migrate to a new
server, but for the time being reviews from
1998-2007 will continue to be available at
http://koreaweb.ws/ks/ksr/ ; reviews from 2008 on
will be available at the new KSR website
(http://hangul.snu.ac.kr/ksr/).
Below is the list of books that are currently
available. Those who are interested in a book
should write to me directly at
<stephen.epstein at vuw.ac.nz>. I will continue to
arrange receipt for now and Bob will handle
sending out books from the next notice of books
available. For more info about KSR and to access
past reviews, see http://koreaweb.ws/ks/ksr.
Finally, let me say that working on KSR over the
years has been a great pleasure, largely for the
opportunity to get to know so many of you
electronically, and then often, in person.
Best wishes to everyone, and thank you for your support over the years.
