The Early Korea Project (http://www.fas.harvard.edu/~ekp/), which is administered through the Korea Institute at Havarvd University, exists to promote the study of early Korea.  Each year members of the planning committee organize a workshop project to explore an aspect of early Korean history and to make scholarship of leading scholars in Korea and East Asia more accessible to the scholarly community in the West.
