and Unification Studies at Seoul National University (IPUS) and Hanns Seidel
Foundation (HSS), with partnership of Korean American Economic
Association(KAEA). This event, entitled “North Korea’s Economy and Politics

Opening and Isolation,” aims at
being an opportunity to discuss the economic perspectives of North Korea and
the assessment of current status of North Korean society
and politics. We hope this
conference would encourage the vigorous academic debate about the future of
Korean peninsular which is in serious trouble more than ever.
