Announcement of Visiting Assistant Professorship
In Korean Literature and Culture
Academic Year 2010-2011



The Department of East Asian Languages and Literature, University of Wisconsin-Madison seeks a full-time non-tenure track Visiting Assistant Professor to teach courses in Korean Literature and Culture. The position will begin August 23, 2010 and end May 22, 2011. The candidate is expected to teach two courses per semester. Required: Ph.D. in Korean Studies or in an area of the Humanities with a focus on Korea, competency in spoken and written English. Preferred: experience teaching at the college level. Must be willing to plan and participate in various activities to enhance this growing Korean program.

Please note: The Department intends to search in 2010-2011 for a tenure track position in Korean Literature and Culture, for which the Visiting Assistant Professor would be eligible to apply.
