Below is a request from Prof. Yi T'aejin that scholars in the West sign
on to the attached document that was initially issued in August 2010
addressing the Japanese Annexation of Korea, If you are willing to add
your name to this declaration, please send your name and institutional
affiliation to President Yongho Kim at yhkim at yuhan.ac.kr
This should be done in the next couple of weeks prior to the
resubmission of the formal declaration at the end of August. Thank you.



지난 번에 뵈었을 때, 말씀드린 한국강제병합 100년(2010)을 기하여 한일 양
국 지식인 공동성명서를 발표한 다음, 일본 정치인들의 반응이 대단히 미약하
여 2011년 8월에도 위 성명에 대한 제3국 지식인들의 지지를 모으는 확대 서
명운동을 가지기고 하였습니다. 미국 지역에 한국, 일본, 중국을 연구하는 분
들로부터 서명을 받고자 합니다.

한국어, 일본어, 영어로 된 성명문과 함께, 한일 양국 서명자들의 명단을 첨
부합니다. 한국에서는 발기인 가운데 김영호, 김진현, 남시욱, 김경희, 정창
렬, 이태진 등이 적극적으로 일해오고 있습니다. 8월 29일 서울에서 발표와
동시에 학술회도 가질 예정입니다.
