[KS] Obscure Chinese character

Dear Werner and listmembers:

My NJ Star software does not list the compound character you cited, but offers the following:

玉蜀黍【yùshǔshǔ】- maize; corn.

This translation was also found in the Nanyang Siang Pau/Umum Learners Dictionary, page 544.

It is indeed a bit obscure, you may find this entry http://www.zdic.net/zd/zi3/ZdicF0ZdicA5ZdicA3Zdic8B.htm, where it is identified as "[～秫]高粱。冀鲁官话。" but Hanyu Da Zidian p. 2635 says that is is rather maize: 𥣋 『𥣋秫』也作”蜀黍“。即玉米。

Has anyone come across a “Chinese (?)” character consisting of 禾+蜀, not to be found in any Chinese or Korean dictionary in my library. From the context I know that it must mean "sorghum".

One possibility coming to my mind is that it was made up on the base of Sichuan sorghum shushu 蜀黍, Kor. choksŏ ,but this is a mere guess. 
Any help appreciated...

Not in Mathews' Chinese Dictionary, Ueda Daijiten, Tong-a Han-han Tae Sajo^n . Not in the unicode unihan list [unless it is one of three characters the my PC could not display]. Not in any of my Chinese-Chinese dictionaries. Perhaps the Zhongwen Dazidian 中文大字典 would be the best bet or Morohashi 諸橋大漢和辞典, neither of which I have any longer.

According to another website ( http://ctext.org/dictionary.pl?if=gb&char=%F0%A5%A3%8B ), apparently, this character can be found in at least two Chinese dictionaries: Kangxi Zidian  and  Hanyu Dazidian (康熙字典: 頁861第05 漢語大字典: 卷4頁2635第08).  I don’t know why the pagination is greyed out for the Kangxi Zidian.  I suspect that most or all editions must lack pagination.
