2014 Korean Studies Grant

The Academy of Korean Studies (AKS) is pleased to announce "2014 Korean Studies Grant". 

The aim of this grant is to deepen the world’s understanding of Korea by supporting academic activities of Korean studies.

Visiting Lectureships

The program places qualified Korean studies lecturers in selected universities for promoting Korean studies.

a. A copy of the application (forms 1-1 and 1-2).

※Evaluations of the visiting lecturer (form 1-3) and a recommendation letter (in renewal cases).

b. Project Director’s CV.

Faculty affiliated with education and research institutions outside Korea.

Competitive Research Funding

The program supports investigator-chosen individual or collaborative research on Korea-related subjects. 

a. A copy of the application (forms 2-1 and 2-2).

b. Project Director’s CV.

a. Researchers affiliated with education and research institutions outside Korea. 

b. The Project Director is required to have more than two research results within 4 years. (2010.2 – 2014.2)

Workshop and Conference Support

The program supports academic workshops and conferences on Korea-related subjects which will be held between June, 2014 and May, 2015

a. A copy of the application (form 3).

b. Conference Director’s CV.

Researchers affiliated with education and research institutions outside Korea

2. Submission Deadline: March 16 (Sun), 2014

※ Applications after the deadline will not be considered.

3. Result Notification 

The result of your application will be notified individually in May, 2014.

2014년도 해외한국학지원사업 공모

한국학중앙연구원은 한국학의 국제적 확산을 도모하고 해외한국학의 질적 수준 제고를 위해 해외한국학 교육․연구기관 및 연구자를 대상으로 ‘해외한국학지원사업’을 수행하고 있습니다. 본 사업은 해외대학 및 연구기관의 한국학 강의를 담당할 강의교원 지원, 해외한국학 연구자 또는 기관의 한국학 관련 학술연구/학술회의 개최의 3개의 분야를 지원합니다. 관련 내용을 다음과 같이 안내하오니 많은 관심과 신청 바랍니다.

외국대학 또는 연구기관 소속 연구자

(단, 2014.6-2015.5 중 해외에서 개최되는 학술회의에 한함)

2. 제출마감일: 2014. 3. 16(일)

서류는 반드시 이메일로 제출해야 함 (우편접수는 불가하며 마감일 이후 도착한 신청서는 접수하지 않음)

3. 결과통보: 2014년 5월 중 개별 이메일 통보
