Papers. We look forward to your participation.
Best regards,

*Call for Papers - Entremons UPF Journal of World History *
Location
Barcelona, Spain
Global history has established itself in recent years as a field capable of
renewing our questions about the past. By putting local and transnational
processes into dialogue, it allows us to understand how distant societies
have been intertwined, how cultural, political or economic phenomena have
circulated across borders and how these connections have shaped the
contemporary world. In this sense, Entremons seeks to be a space for
academic exchange that reflects the vitality and diversity of these
approaches.
In a present marked by armed conflicts, humanitarian crises and increasing
attempts at censorship and denialism, we believe that global history also
has the responsibility to give voice to regions, actors and processes that
are often invisible. Our commitment is to offer a place for research that,
while providing historiographical rigour, contributes to thinking
critically about the violence, resistance and memories that cross our world.
In this spirit, we invite researchers, postgraduate students and
independent historians to submit articles and reviews for the next issue of
the journal. To expand the possibilities of participation, this call is not
limited to a specific topic: we welcome various proposals that are oriented
towards global, comparative and connective approaches.
However, we suggest some lines that today arouse special interest and
debate:
- Digital humanities applied to historical research.
- Transnational studies of anti-fascist history.
- Historical memory and its projections in a global key.
- Migration movements and circulation of knowledge.
- Commercial, cultural and political networks.
- Interactions between empires, colonies and local societies.
- Global history of the environment and technology.
- Gender perspectives, decolonial and criticisms of historiography.
- Conflicts, violence and resistance in a global perspective.
We invite you to send your manuscripts to revista.entremons at upf.edu
until March
15th, 2026.
All the works will be evaluated through a peer review process according to
international academic standards.
