"Thanks to a generous grant from the Korea Foundation, our institution,
Northeastern University, is looking to hire an Assistant Professor in
Modern Korea this academic year. We welcome any applicants working on
Modern Korean history, but are especially interested in specialists of the
following subfields: history of medicine; history of science; history of
technology; environmental history; economic history; legal history;
citizenship, gender, and race; and digital humanities. The successful
candidate will teach a 2-2 load, including surveys on Korean History and
East Asian Studies, as well as smaller seminars.
